The Gathering NZ

Rediscovering the simplicity of the Christian Church

About The Gathering

Gathered: We are group of believers who meet together in the Name of Jesus.

Mat 18:19 — Mat 18:20“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”S

Simplicity: We desire to return  to the simplicity of having fellowship with each other and the Lord

Acts 2:46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Personal: We believe in the outward expression of the New Covenant, where every believer is a priest and has a personal relationship and access to the Lord

1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

Heb 8:10-11  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ' Know the Lord, ' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

Growth: We desire to encourage each believer to go onto maturity, not tossed to and fro by man’s trends, but being knitted and joined together through intimacy with Christ, and doing their part for the wider Body.

Eph 4:11-16 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

We believe in the  Church functioning in the 7 Principles (based on Derek Prince’s Rediscovering God’s Church)

The Assembly-Governance

The Body-Connectedness

The Workmanship-Yieldedness

The Family-Relationships

The Temple-Dwelling Place of God

The Bride-Intimacy

The Army-Warfare
